Elfriede A. Lengle, 92, of Shoemakersville, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in her residence. She was the wife of William S. Lengle, who died July 2, 1992. Born in Kassel, Germany she was the daughter of the late Karl A. and Anna Elizabeth (Wagner) Schafer. She worked 39 years as a supervisor for the former Mayfair Industries, Shoemakersville and retired in 1989. She enjoyed crocheting, needle work, and counted cross stitch. Elfriede is survived by a son: William K. "Bill" Lengle, Ephrata; and a granddaughter: Kelly A. Lengle. She was predeceased by a grandson: Kyle W. Lengle and three sisters. Services ill be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526, off street parking in rear. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
