Edith G. Dreibelbis, 98, formerly of Perry Twp., passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in the Berks Heim. She was the wife of George I. Dreibelbis, who died November 2, 1978.
Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Seaman) Faust. Edith graduated from Ontelaunee High School. She worked at Diener Knitting Mill; and the Hamburg Area High School as a cafeteria worker. Edith was also caregiver to her daughter Anita. She was a member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ, Leesport.
Edith was a life member of the Virginville Grange where she was named Granger of the Year. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels and a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. Edith enjoyed bowling, puzzles, traveling and reading; and was a Phillies fan. She was always doing something and was lovingly known as the "energizer bunny". Edith was a "rock hound" and had collected many over the years. She was a big bird watcher and loved reading about wildlife. Edith also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, aides and support staff of Essick Commons at Berks Heim. Your loving care, hugs and kisses were so appreciated by Edie as well as her family.
Edith is survived by her children: Sharon L. Dreibelbis, Hamburg; and Bryan L. Dreibelbis, husband of Betsy, Dade City, Florida; and two grandchildren: Kegan L. Dreibelbis, companion of Will; and Logan K. Dreibelbis, companion of Kaylee. She is also survived by her brothers: Clyde Faust, Fleetwood; and Clair Faust, in California; and her Grand-dogs. Edith was predeceased by her daughter: Anita D. Dreibelbis, who died May 16, 2004; and her siblings: Clifford Faust, Betty Strause, Mildred Faust, Arlene Haas, George Faust, Floyd Faust and Jane Greusel.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will be private in Leesport Cemetery.
