Ecaterina Albu, 78, of Bethel, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in her daughter's residence.
Born in Bolentin din Vale, JD Giurgiu, Romania,
she was the daughter of the late Ion Dumitrache and Dumitra (Vinatoru) Dumitrache.
Ecaterina was wonderful, generous, amazing, and a loving mother, loved by everyone she met.
She loved the peace gardening gave her, teaching, reading, writing, and quoting scriptures from the Bible and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She helped many new Romanian families, which immigrated to the U.S.
She had amazing faith in God, had love and compassion for her children, prayed daily for each person in her family, as well as anyone who needed prayer. Throughout her life, she attended Lighthouse Christian Center, and Bethany Romanian Church of God.
Ecaterina is survived by 14 children: Constantin Albu, (Maria); Elena Albu; Florian Albu, (Mery); Ioan "John" Albu, (Wendy); Gabriel Albu,(Tara); Augustine Albu, (Gernalyn); Cristian Albu; Ana (Albu) Calancea (Peter); Daniel Albu; Magdalena (Albu) DeNaples (Nicholas); Tudor Albu Jr.; Joshua Albu, (Kirsten); George Albu, (Georgina); and Marin Albu, (Lauren). She is also survived by 39 grandchildren: Tanya, Monique, Matthew, Vincent, Ashley, Austin, Jarred, James, Vanessa, Valarie, Roxanne, Alexis, Joshua, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Josiah, Gloria, Vintz, Aaron, Audrey, Nadia, Kiara, Lailah, Mariah, Noah, Nicola, Dominick, Savario, Julian, Vivian, Roman, Maxamilian, Julieanna, Alicia, Aubrey, Dimitri, Lucian, and Lianna; two great-grandchildren: Emett, and Giovanni; and two sisters: Elena Zaharia, and Maria Neagu. Ecaterina was predeceased by husband, Tudor Albu, Sr., (1935- 2020), son, Nicu Albu (White)(1963-2017), and grandson Victor Miles (2000-2000).
Funeral Services will be held in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Viewing Tues. June 13, 2023, 6-8pm, and Wed. June 14, 2023, 10-11am viewing, 11 am service, followed by burial in Bern Cemetery.
