Dorothy M. Fisher, 96, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Luther Acres, Lititz, where she resided. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Florence M. (Good) Schlear. Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Hamburg High School and attended McCann's School of Business. She was head teller at First National Bank and Trust Company, Hamburg, then Hamilton Bank and last Wachovia Bank, until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She was a former member of Hamburg Woman's Club, BPW (Business and Professional Women), and Blue Mountain Chapter #443 Order of Eastern Star, Hamburg. Dorothy was predeceased by one son: Edward Irvin Fisher, who died in 1975; one brother: Edward K. Schlear, killed in action in World War II; and one sister: E. Jean Holtzer, died in 2014. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24, at 11:00 am from St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. John's Ev.
