Doris M. Miller, 86, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Franklin A. Greenawalt, who died March 16, 2010.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harvey L. and Dorothy (Baer) Miller. Doris worked at Crown Knitting Mill and the Globe Knitting Mill. She last worked at Precision Offset Printing. Doris's most important job was raising and taking care of her family. She enjoyed crafts, needlepoint, playing games like Triominos and Skip-Bo, and watching the Hallmark Channel.
Doris is survived by her children: Kenneth W. Greenawalt, husband of Sandra, Willow Grove; Nancy E. (Greenawalt) Hamersma, wife of Jeffrey, Southampton; Kevin P. Greenawalt, Orwigsburg; and twin sons: Thomas L. Greenawalt, significant other of Samantha Flowers, Hamburg; and Timothy L. Greenawalt, husband of Melissa, Dauberville; six grandchildren: Avery, Gavin, Joy, Kenny, Elizabeth and Sarah; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers: Robert, David and Richard Miller.
A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, with a memorial service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A luncheon will be held following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Schuylkill Valley Bible Church, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541.
