Donna L. Silk, 73, of Centre Twp., passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 in the residence of her daughter Lisa. She was the wife of Paul H. Silk, who died August 27, 2017.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. Miller and Verna Mae James. Donna worked at CarTech until her retirement. She was also very involved with the Mennonite community and enjoyed working at the Kutztown Hay Auction. Donna had a great love for horses and animals. Over the years, she was involved with the Humane Society and Alcoholics Anonymous. Donna enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. They would always put a smile on her face.

Donna is survived by her children: Lisa M. Strausser, Centre Twp.; Richelle L. (Strausser) Rose, companion of Chris, Centre Twp.; LeAnn L. (Strausser) Knoblauch, wife of Craig, Port Clinton; and Jeremy A. Strausser, husband of Laura, Mohnton; seven grandchildren: Breanna, Madison, Mariah, Jevin, Gavin, Wyatt and Riley; eight great-grandchildren; and two more on the way.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Leesport Farmers Market Meeting Hall.
