Donald W. Wisser, 90, of Lenhartsville, died Monday, October 17, 2011 in his residence. He was the husband of Ethel C. (Gorr) Wisser.

Born in Greenwich Twp., he was the son of the late Herbert F. and Helen M. (Moll) Wisser. He was a 1938 graduate of Hamburg High School. Donald was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He worked as a deliveryman and service manager for Suburban Propane Gas Company, Lenhartsville, for many years until retiring in 1991. He was a member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville. Donald was a former member and treasurer of Lenhartsville Borough Council. He was also a member of their bowling team.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Mark A. Wisser, Lenhartsville; and one daughter: Karen W. (Wisser), wife of Jim P. Buckland, Clinton, South Carolina. There is one brother: Carl R. Wisser, Virginville; and three sisters: Ella M. (Wisser) Strittmatter, Temple; Helen L. (Wisser) Sonon, Orwigsburg; and Barbara (Wisser) Stump, Lititz. Donald was predeceased by six brothers: Joseph, John, Harold, Russell, Herbert, and Murrill; and one sister: Lillian (Wisser) Smith.

Services will be on Friday at 1:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in Frieden's Cemetery, Lenhartsville.
