Dolores J. Younker, 87, of Phoebe Berks, Wernersville, and formerly of Perry Twp., passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in the Reading Hospital. She was predeceased by her first husband, Vernon W. Sonon.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Emerson E. and Helen I. (Haas) Wert. Dolores worked as a sewing machine operator for various area knitting mills. She also worked at the salad bar at Berg's Thriftway, Shoemakersville. She was a member of Salem-Berne United Methodist Church, Tilden Twp. Dolores enjoyed reading and sewing.

Dolores is survived by her two sons: Ricky "Rick" L. Sonon, husband of June L. (Werley), Perry Twp.; and Michael W. Sonon, husband of Deborah E. (Moyer), Denver, PA; six grandchildren: Kevin, Christopher, Heather, Jessica, Christina and Brooke; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter: Debra J. (Smith) Schlenker, wife of Jeffrey T. Schlenker; her son: Gerald A. Smith; and siblings: Elmer E. Wert; Richard D. Wert; and Dorothy I. (Wert) Geschwindt.
