Dolores M. Fisher, 85, formerly of Tilden Twp., passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 in StoneRidge Retirement Community Poplar Run. She was the wife of Harry W. Fisher. They were married on June 3, 1961 and would have celebrated sixty-four years of marriage.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Myrtle V. (Knarr) Koch. Dolores was a 1957 graduate of Auburn High School and a 1960 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Millersville University in 1970 and her Master's Degree from Temple University in 1974. Dolores was a school nurse for twenty-nine years for the Hamburg Area School District, retiring in June 1997. She was a member of Salem-Berne United Methodist Church, Tilden Twp. Dolores was a member of Conrad Weiser Chapter 449 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member and past Matron of Blue Mountain Chapter 443 Order of Eastern Star from 1977-1978 and 2001-2002, and was Grand Chaplain from 2008-2009. Dolores was inducted into the Hamburg Fine Arts Hall of Fame for her paintings.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons: David W. Fisher, husband of Miriam (Schnader), Tilden Twp.; and Bradley W. Fisher, Adamstown; six grandchildren: Jeremy Fisher, Monica (Fisher) Billman, Sierra Fisher, Stephanie Fisher, Brooke (Fisher) Hatfield and Jonathan Fisher; and seven great-grandchildren. Dolores is also survived by her brother: Floyd L. Koch, Texas.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Salem-Berne United Methodist Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held at the funeral home Saturday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Order of Eastern Star service will be held prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Salem-Berne United Methodist Church, 292 Salem Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526,
