Diane E. Wood, 61, of East Penn Township, Carbon County, died Monday, December 31, 2012 in her residence. She was the wife of John M. Wood. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Eleanora (Greata) Singer Herndon, Cairo, Georgia; and the late David Singer. She was the co-owner and secretary/treasurer of Blue Ridge Campground, Lehighton, for ten years. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two daughters: Jennifer D., wife of Nathaniel Cundy, Missoula, Montana; and Jessie L., wife of Andrew Moseman, Windsor Twp.; one step-daughter: Kimberly S., wife of Daniel Schlegel, Annapolis, MD; and one step-son: Roger Wood, in Louisiana. There are also six grandchildren. Diane was the oldest of ten children. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg.
