Dennis Lee Stoudt, 76, of Leesport, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in his home surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Helen F. (Schaeffer) Stoudt. Together, they celebrated 37 beautiful years of marriage.
Raised in Dauberville, he was the devoted son of the late Merritt K. and Dorothy M. (Zipp) Stoudt. In addition to his wife, Dennis will be forever remembered by his loving family including daughters Melissa Fisher, wife of James Best, Jr., and Angela Fisher, wife of Jason Bretz; step-son: Timothy Fisher, husband of Paula; three grandchildren: Caiden Bretz, Noah Fisher, and Sierra Bretz; brother: Kenneth Stoudt, husband of Jean; sister: Deanne (Stoudt) Burkhart, wife of Mitchell; and nephews Dave, Joe, Dylan and niece Kelsie: grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and his devoted in-law family. He was predeceased by his brother: Larry Stoudt.
Dennis graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1966 and attended Kutztown University. He worked at the former Building Systems Design, Reading; and later worked at Reading Eagle Company in the facilities department before retiring in 2010.
Dennis was a loyal, generous, and caring friend. He was an avid sports' fan, player, and youth coach. Dedicating over 40 years with Schuylkill Valley Youth Sports and Leesport Area Athletic Association, Dennis coached and mentored many young athletes.
Dennis was an incredibly talented woodworker who handcrafted intricate heartfelt gifts for family and friends in his workshop. He traveled to national parks across the country, enjoyed taking family cruises, took many rides on his Harley with friends, and visited historical sites and battlefields. Dennis was a member of Salem Belleman's Church; and attended Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm; and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
