Dennis J. Fitzpatrick, 66, Shartlesville, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the husband of Rebecca S. (Werley) Fitzpatrick. They were married on February 14, 2003 and celebrated eleven years of marriage. Born in Middletown, Dauphin Co., he was the son of the late Robert J. and Ruth D. (Zimmerman) Fitzpatrick. Dennis was a graduate of Middletown High School. He worked as a machinist for thirty-two years for TRW/Chromalloy, Harrisburg, until his retirement. Dennis then worked as a groundskeeper for various local golf courses, last working at Golden Oaks, Fleetwood. Dennis was fanatical about golfing. He loved camping; his little dog "Murphy"; and spending with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter: Bridget Y. (Fitzpatrick), wife of Ryan Welker, Middletown; three sons: Daniel C. Fitzpatrick, Elizabethtown; Shae D. Fritzpatrick, Seattle, WA; and Robert D. Fitzpatrick, and his fiance Carrie Messick, Elizabethtown; one step-son: Shawn P. Yeaples, Temple; six grandchildren: Bo, Stevi, Bobbi, Chase, John Michael, and Joshua; two great-grandchildren: Isabella and Ryden; and one brother: Scott R. Fitzpatrick, Middletown. Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 12:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
