Deanna S. Miller, 51, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Berks Heim where she resided. Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Glenn R. and Sally A. (Hunt) Miller, Wyomissing. Deanna graduated from Muhlenberg High School and the Vo-Tech program at Oley. Deanna was a lifetime member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in Leesport, PA. She loved Sunday school and Bible study, and all activities with the congregation. She was an employee at Wendy's Restaurant in Muhlenberg for 24 years where she tended the salad bar and the dining room. Deanna took pride in participating in Special Olympics where she earned many medals in swimming and track and field. As a founding member of the Bluebird Campfire Girls Group, Deanna made lifetime friendships which lasted for 43 years. Family held a special place in Deanna's heart. She loved time with family, including vacations, holidays and picnics. She was an avid fan of Lawrence Welk. Deanna was a gentle, caring soul, and a positive influence on everyone she touched. The family would like to thank all the special people who have made a difference in her life, and especially the entire staff at Berks Heim A3. Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers: Kerry G. Miller, husband of Giuseppina, Croton-on-Hudson, NY; and Brian K. Miller, husband of Michael McCarthy, Chester Twp., NJ; one nephew: Peter; and two nieces: Gabriella and Giuliana. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street, Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation with the family will be held at the church prior to the service at 11:30 am.
