David L. Yoder, Sr., 80, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. He was the husband of Geraldine E.W. (Werley) Yoder.

Born in Edenburg, Windsor Twp., he was the son the late Raymond J. and Mary J. (Johnston) Yoder. David was a 1961 graduate of Hamburg High School. He first worked for Wertz Engineering, and Blanksi, Inc., before owning and operating Yoder's Heating. David was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: David L. Yoder, Jr., husband of Susan; and Holli B. (Yoder) Nigh, fiance of Jeff DeMarte; one granddaughter: Valerie Yoder, wife of Tony; and one great-granddaughter: Olivia. David is also survived by a sister: Donna Bausher. He was predeceased by a sister: Ann C. Reppert.
