David A. Sonon, 57, formerly of Centerport, a resident at Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 in Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of Fern F. (Redcay) Sonon, Windsor Twp., and the late Lester L. Sonon. He worked for 33 years as an industrial electrician at Lehigh Cement, Fleetwood. He was a member of the NRA, various tractor clubs, United Steelworkers Local #10-054, and local fire companies: Central Berks, Leesport, and Shoemakersville. He enjoyed demo derbys, and hunting.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a daughter: Jaclyn D. (Sonon) Frederick, wife of Tom; two brothers: Lester L. Sonon, Jr., husband of Dawn, and Benjamin J. Sonon, fiance of Tamineh Kramer; a sister: Marcia Sonon; three step-sisters: Donna Christman, Sandra Eberwine, wife of Keith, and Barbara Spesak, wife of Carl; and a niece: Alexis Sonon.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. Viewings will be held Thursday, August 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm; and Friday, from 10:00 to 11:00 am both in the funeral home. For anyone that cannot attend, there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Virginville Grange on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
