David D. Reber, 68, of Shoemakersville died Friday, October 14, 2022 in the Laurel Center.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Ralph S. and Verna A. (Musser) Reber. He was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg. David graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1973. He was the owner and operator of Country Greenery Florist for many years, retiring approximately 5 years ago. He always enjoyed landscaping.

He is survived by his sisters: Georgetta Breidstein, widow of Paul, Bern Twp., and Dolly Feltenberger, widow of Fred, Lexington, SC; several nieces and nephews; and his friend Faron Swartz, Laureldale. He was predeceased by a brother: Bob Reber, husband of Doris Reber; and his 2 canine companions: Claudia and Clarice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 am from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamburg. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 am in the church. David's wish was instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
