Obituary

Darlene F. Staudt, 79, formerly of Centre Twp., a resident of Phoebe Berks, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Phoebe Berks. She was the wife of the late Philip G. Staudt, passed away January 16, 2015. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Wolf) Rump. She graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1959. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. She worked as a loan officer for 25 years at Mid-Atlantic Farm Credit, Shoemakersville until retiring in 2001. Darlene was a member of the former Blue Mountain Chapter No. 443 Order of Eastern Star, where she had previously served as treasurer and chaplain. She was very active in church. She was a member of the choir, a former church council member, and a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed traveling and scrapbooking. Darlene is survived by a son: Wayne P. Staudt, husband of Susan, Coatesville; two daughters: Cynthia L. Staudt, Groveland, FL, and Sheryl A. (Staudt) Bradley, wife of John, Frisco, TX; and four grandchildren: Samantha, Amber, Andrew, and Ryan. She is also survived by a brother: Terry G. Rump, husband of Jane, Wyomissing; and a sister: Melanie A. (Rump) Staudt, wife of William, Wernersville. She was predeceased by a sister: Nedra L. Putt. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:30 am from St. Luke's Church, 431 Franklin Street, Shoemakersville, PA 19555. A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Luke's Memorial Fund at the above address or Shriner's Children's Hospital of Philadelphia c/o Office of Development Shiner's Hospitals for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
