Daniel T. Vollmer, 54, of Hamburg, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Kimberly J. (Foresi) Vollmer, died January 11, 2006.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of Thomas W. and Vivian E. (Stitzel) Vollmer, Tilden Twp. He was a 1976 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Danny owned Vollmer Patterns, Tilden Twp. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. Danny was the drummer in several area bands: P.A. Crude, Autumn, Holy Smoke, Pat Garrett Band, The Jalappa All-Stars; and last played on Saturday evening with Crazy Elmer and The Outlaws. He was a former girls soccer coach for the Hamburg Soccer Association; and a referee for the Reading Berks Soccer League. Danny was a Gift of Life donor.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his two daughters: Leah D. Vollmer and Haley R. Vollmer, both of Fleetwood; a grandson: Chase; significant other: J. Chris Naftzinger, with whom he resided; and a sister: Diana D. (Vollmer) Clauss, Wernersville.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 am from St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg. Burial with follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A visitation with the family will be held in the church Friday 9:30 to 11:30 am.
