Daniel M. Clouser, 96, formerly of Perry Twp., a resident at Maidencreek Place passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 in Maidencreek Place. He was the husband of the late Delores M. (Geiss) Clouser. Delores passed away on April 5, 2018.
Born in Tilden Twp., he was the son of the late Warren D. and Florence E. (Leiby) Clouser. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1944. Daniel was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He worked as an electrician at Carpenter Steel for 35 years, retiring on June 1, 1985. He was a former Cub Pack Leader of Troop 163- Shoemakersville, enjoyed rebuilding 2 VW Beetles, reading, and burning scrap. Daniel also loved dogs and was known to always have treats. He loved his family and always enjoyed when everyone got together, he especially enjoyed his family history. He was a member of Vaux Lodge No. 406 F&AM, where he was the oldest living past master, serving in that position in 1977.
He is survived by two sons: Dean A. Clouser, husband of Sheila K. (Henne) Clouser, Hamburg, and Dale E. Clouser, husband of LuAnn V. (Heffner) Clouser, Glenmoore; a daughter: Dawn S. (Clouser) Stetzler, wife of Allen L. Stetzler, Windsor Twp.; six grandchildren: Dr. Ryan D. Clouser, husband of Kristin (Gilbert) Clouser, Jericho, VT, Erin M. (Clouser) Wolfe, wife of Christopher, Milton, PA, Ashley N. (Clouser) Hurst, wife of Neal, Williamsburg,VA, Caitlin E. (Clouser) Bubb, wife of Jonathan, Stevens, PA, Dr. Alison L. (Stetzler) Mauk, companion of Andrew Carney, St. Augustine, FL, and Andrea M. (Stetzler) Leibensperger, wife of Derek M.D. Leibensperger, Hamburg. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Brady, Mason, Parker, Piper, Harper, Edith, Calvin, Miles, and Penelope. He was predeceased by a brother: Earl W. Clouser, AM2c, killed in action while serving on the USS Franklin in the US Navy, and buried at sea March 19, 1945; and a sister: Mae E. (Clouser) Kauffman, passed away April 25, 2021.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 am in the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be held at 10:45 am.
