Dana M. Shingle, 75, of Penn Twp., passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in his residence. He was the husband of Carol A. (Coldren) Shingle. They were married on October 26, 1991, and celebrated 30 years of marriage the day Dana passed. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Albert and Ethel L. Shingle. He graduated from Reading High School in 1964. Dana was a US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 30+ years as a Bridge Foreman and Inspector. He was a member of Reading Motorcycle Club, loved tinkering with cars, and loved his 2 dogs: Mandy and Missy. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Dion M. Shingle, husband of Melissa, Exeter, and Dax M. Shingle, Alsace Twp.; a step-daughter: Barbie L. (Drumheller) Barajas, wife of Baldmaro, Round Rock, TX; six grandchildren: Kaitlin, Madelyn, Halleigh, Cameron, Rylee, and Maksim. He was predeceased by a step-daughter: Dana L. (Drumheller) Smith, passed away March 30, 2016; and a brother: Richard Hartman. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
