D. Gail Seaman, 82, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away in the Reading Hospital on Monday, August 1, 2016. She was the wife of Franklin D. Seaman who died August 16, 2008. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Alwyn and Mildred (Kamm) Haggerty. She was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Gail and her husband Frank owned and operated the Dutch Motel in Shartlesville for twenty-four years from 1972-1996. She was a very active member of Frieden's Church in Shartlesville. Gail loved her cat and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her card club. Gail is survived by two daughters: Connie L. (Seaman), wife of Richard W. Hoffa, Jr., Hamburg; and Tracy A. (Seaman) Price, Hamburg; seven grandchildren: Beau Hoffa and his wife Anita; Casey Hoffa; Brittany (Price), wife of David Fetherolf; Jordan Price; Tanner Price; Torrence McCarthy; and Brina McCarthy; four great-grandchildren: Juliana and Anthony Hoffa; and Everett and Archer Fetherolf; and son-in-law: James McCarthy, Harrisburg. She is also survived by her sister: Lois (Haggerty) Wagner, Muhlenberg Twp.; and three nieces. Gail was predeceased by a daughter: Kim M. (Seaman) McCarthy, who died January 7, 2007. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Frieden's Church, 28 Wolf Creek Road, Shartlesville, PA 19554.
