Cynthia Jean Spayd, 62, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Reading Hospital. Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Esther (Henne) Spayd, Tilden Twp., and the late Stuart Spayd. Cindy was a graduate of Hamburg Area High School and Kutztown University. She worked as a hospital librarian for Reading Hospital for over thirty years. Cindy was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville. She loved knitting and spinning. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting, making baskets and various crafts. Cindy was also known for her lush gardens.. Surviving in addition to her mother is an aunt: Viola (Henne) Yoder; uncle: Charles Henne; and many cousins. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Frieden's Cemetery, Shartlesville.
