Cynthia L. Bender, 68, of Shartlesville, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of John B. Bender. They were married on August 25, 1973 and celebrated forty-nine years of marriage.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sue (Carpenter) Bressler. Cindy worked as an office administrator for Bernville Physical Therapy. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her husband.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Andrew J. Bender, husband of Bozhena; Laura B. (Bender), wife of Matt Kellander; two grandchildren: William and Noelle; and one sister: Deanna.

Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Twp.
