Crystal L. Bowman, 57, of Upper Bern Township, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. She was the wife of William J. Bowman, Sr. They were married October 22, 1988 and celebrated 34 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Lois C. (Crissinger) Schankweiler, Bethlehem; and the late Harry A. Schankweiler. She graduated from Berks Christian School in 1983. Crystal was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. She was a dedicated volunteer at The King's Academy. She always loved volunteering with children, and Vacation Bible School was her "favorite thing of the church year." She also enjoyed camping, watching TV, puzzles, reading, and spending time with friends and family members.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother is a son: William J. "Billy" Bowman, Jr., fiance of Tressa McClain, Mohrsville; two daughters: Nicole L. (Bowman) Coldren, wife of Justin S. Coldren, Hamburg, and Kimberly N. (Bowman) Cage, wife of Zachary J. Cage, Kutztown; and a sister: Carla S. (Schankweiler) Brumfield, wife of Scott, New Plymouth, OH.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 7:00 pm from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to: Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, at the above address.
