Cleon V. Garl, Jr., 38, of Tilden Twp., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 4:10 pm in his residence. He was the fiance of Victoria E. Fisher, with whom he resided. Born in West Reading, he was the son of Cleon V., Sr. and Janice E. (Reader) Garl, Temple. He worked as a salesman for Bowers Marine, Temple. He also worked at Shellhammer's Raceway, Mohrsville. Cleon was a member of Checkered Flag Racing. Surviving in addition to his fiance and parents are two sons: Christian P. Garl and Cleon V. Garl, III, both at home; step-daughter: Brittany C. Fisher, at home; one brother: Jeremy N. Garl, Temple; maternal grandmother: Ruth M. (Whelpton), widow of Donald L. Reader, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey; paternal grandfather: Cleon S. Garl, widower of Jennie M. (Mattassa) Garl, Winter Garden, Florida; and Victoria's parents: David and Christine Pinkerton, Lancaster. Memorial Services will be on Saturday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Burial will be private.
