Christine E. Fennessey, 72, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Bronx, NY she was the daughter of Frank M. and Elsa L. (Gordlt) Hordich. A graduate of Our Savior Lutheran School. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. As a graduate of the prestigious Nancy Taylor Business School Christine worked for 52 years as a secretary, most recently working for Cintas, until she retired in November 2018. She was a member of Blue Star Mothers. She enjoyed volunteering with Schuylkill Valley Community Library, Keystone Military families, and her church. She was an avid New York Yankees fan, and never missed a game, even watching re-runs! She is survived by two sons: Sean R. Fennessey, husband of Elizabeth A. (Yeakley), Ontelaunee Twp., and Patrick F. Fennessey, husband of Melissa E. (Tomaszewski), Brunswick County, NC; six grandchildren: Chloe (14), Liam(11), Quinn(6), Ethan(3), Connor(5), and Lily Ana(5 Months). She is also survived by two sisters: Margaret "Peggy" (Hordich) Meyer, Illinois, and Barbara H. (Hordich) Evernham, Deer Park, NY. She was predeceased by an infant daughter: Denise­ Fennessey; and a brother: Frank T. Hordich. Memorial Services will be held, Tomorrow, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 am from Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street Leesport, PA 19533.
