Cathryn E. Starr, 78, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Sinking Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late John W.L., Sr. and Marian E. (Wanner) Starr. Cathy was a 1964 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and a 1967 graduate of Temple University School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Temple University Hospital for seven years; and then for Lehigh Valley Hospital for more than thirty years. Cathy was an EMT. She was also a paramedic for the Leesport and Hamburg Ambulances. She taught CPR and First Aid classes at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Cathy was a member of Dove Christian Fellowship North Gate, Hamburg. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles and enjoyed taking care of her dogs and cats.

Cathy is survived by her brother: John W.L. Starr, Jr., Hamburg.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:30 pm from Dove Christian Fellowship North Gate, 31 N. 3rd Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the church Saturday 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm.
