Catherine M. Lesher, 90, a resident at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon, PA and formerly of Berne, died Monday, November 20, 2017. She was the wife of the late Earl W. Lesher, died February 6, 2004. Born in Cressona, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bessie (Wike) Collins. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She worked as a sewing machine operator at Hamburg Knitting Mill, retiring in 1985. Catherine enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, and word searches. She is survived by a daughter: Karen L. (Lesher) wife of Robert E. Rigg, Glenmoore; three grandchildren: Kristian husband of Kristie (Burke) Piacine, James Rigg, and Jonathan Rigg; and two great-grandchildren: Emmerson and Keaton Piacine. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Services will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off-street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:30 am in the funeral home.
