Catharine M. Parfet, 92, formerly of Hamburg, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Chestnut Knoll Personal Care, Boyertown. She was a resident at Chestnut Knoll for 2 months and was previously a resident at Hearthstone at Maidencreek for the past 5 years. She was the wife of Ralph C. Parfet who died January 5, 1980. Born in Schuylkill Haven, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Dorothy G. (Messer) Knell. Catharine was self-employed as the owner and operator of Parfet Jewelry Store in Hamburg from 1960-1985. She as a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hamburg, and the Blue Mountain Chapter No. 433 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a niece, Patsy Stackhouse, Blandon, a nephew, Robert husband of Kimberly Parfet, Blandon. A great niece Angie Gurney, Ontelaunee Twp., a great nephew Dylan Parfet, Blandon, and a great great niece Leah Gurney. Catharine was predeceased by a daughter, Judy D. Parfet who died June 1993.
