Carrie A. Heckman, 55, of Centre Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Ashley S. Heckman, whom she married August 8, 1992.

Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Jay S. and Nancy E. (Eder) Wheeland, Hamburg. Carrie was a 1989 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She was manager of insurance sales at AAA - Pottsville. Carrie's grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved being on the sidelines of their sporting events. She loved cats and horses; and especially loved being a wife to her husband Ashley.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents is her daughter: Leann T. Wheeland, significant other of Ryan Mohler, Hamburg; three grandchildren: Brantlee, Baylor and Lawson; sister: Kellie R. (Wheeland), wife of Larry Weiss, Slatington; and niece: Morgan (DeLong), wife of Steven Bechtel.
