Carole S. Laughlin, 72, of West Brunswick Twp., died Friday, September 8, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of Terry A. Laughlin. They were married September 11, 1965 and were looking forward to celebrating 52 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Martha E. (Tull) Sproul. She graduated from Overbrook Regional High School in 1963. She was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Twp. Carole drove school bus for R&J, Cressona for about 10 years. Carole was an active member at church, volunteering for the Kutztown Folk Festival, Habitat for Humanity, and teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed volunteering at the Orwigsburg Public Library. She was a member of the Schuylkill County Quitlers Guild. Carole loved spending time with her family, birdwatching, gardening, kayaking, camping, sewing, and baking. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Terence J. husband of Jennifer K. (Hartranft) Laughlin, East Brunswick Twp., and Timothy B. husband of Jenifer L. (Mengel) Laughlin, West Brunswick Twp.; two daughters: Michelle M. (Laughlin) wife of Douglas H. Rohde, Hershey, and Nicole L. (Laughlin) wife of Daniel L. Nita, Munster, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Abigail, Ashley, Rachel, Emily, Timothy (TJ), Laura, and Anna. She is also survived by a brother: James W. Sproul, Franklinville, NJ. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am from Zion's Church, 701 Zion Church Rd., Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Orwigsburg Public Library 214 E.
