Carol A. Yoder, 63, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of David G. Yoder. They were married on September 15, 1973 and celebrated 40 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Esther (Miller) Rohrer. She was a graduate of Manheim Central High School and received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Findlay College, Findlay, Ohio. Carol worked for twenty-five years as a waitress for the Berkshire Country Club. She was an active member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp., where she was a choir member, participated in Vacation Bible School, and began the prayer shawl ministry. Surviving in addition to her husband is a sister-in-law: Cindy Rohrer; and two nephews: Matthew and Bill. Carol was predeceased by two brothers: Amos and James Rohrer; and her step-mother: Rosie (Beachey) Rohrer. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 am from St. John's (Gernant's) Church Memorial Hall, 12 Gernant's Church Road, Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation with the family will be held on Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
