Carol A. Herber, 77, of Perry Twp., passed away in Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Schuylkill Haven, on Friday, December 8, 2023. She was the wife of Dennis L. Herber, who died December 8, 2021.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Carl L. and Verna S. (Schappell) Folk. Carol was a 1964 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She first worked for Degler Chevrolet, Hamburg; and then for Parsons Engineering, Reading, until her retirement. Carol was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp.; and had been a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed going to bluegrass festivals and playing guitar with Dennis. Carol also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading The Bible, camping, the outdoors, flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed going to eat at the Temple Restaurant.

Carol is survived by her son: Brian D. Herber, husband of Kim E. (Weida) Herber, McAdoo, Schuylkill County; and one brother: Ronnie C. Folk, Upper Bern Twp. She was predeceased by a brother: Steven G. Folk.

Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
