Caden Steven Hummel, 19, of Leesport, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Jeffrey A. Hummel, companion of Lori Dalzell, Kutztown; and Heather P. (Kurtz) Rios, wife of Christopher Rios. Caden was a 2023 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. He attended Berks Career and Technology Center, where he studied horticulture. Caden worked for FMC Logistics, Quakertown. He was an Eagles fan and enjoyed shooting pool, camping, skateboarding, riding his scooter, spending time with friends and his girlfriend.  Caden especially loved being with his family.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sisters: Kelsey M. (Adam) Gobright, wife of Dillon, West Lawn; McKenna N. Adam, fiance of Casey Oulds, Lyons; and Kayla A. Hummel, Leesport; a step-brother: Alexander L. Smith, companion of Elysian Jane, West Lawn; paternal grandmother: Annette D. (Hertzog) Hummel, Fleetwood; maternal grandmother: Barbara K. (Lesinski) Kurtz, Hamburg; niece: Elaina Grace Gobright; nephew: Lincoln Steven Gobright; several aunts and uncles; and his girlfriend: Wylie Sha Orick, Sidney, OH.  Caden was predeceased by his paternal grandfather: George A. Hummel; maternal grandfather: Steven Kurtz; and step-grandfather: Kenneth "Butch" Althouse.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 8:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc. 223 Peach Street, Leesport.  A viewing will be held in the funeral home Thursday 6:00 to 8:30 pm.  Those attending are asked to wear casual or Eagles attire.  For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
