Bruce John Weiss, age 86 from Fleetwood, Pa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medicare Center in Reading, PA.

Born in Reading, PA on July 31, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Anna Weiss.

Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Janice Weiss, his son, Todd (wife Anne) all in Fleetwood, PA. His grandson, Nate (wife Meghan) in Downingtown, PA. His nephew, Judd Burkert (wife Kelly) in Nashville, TN.

He was predeceased in death by his parents John and Anna Weiss, his sister, Joyce Boyer and niece Lynn Burkert- Schappell.

Bruce was a graduate of Reading High School and an Air Force veteran. He worked for many years as an acclaimedphotographer at Penn Lynn Studios in Reading, PA. Later,for Wyomissing Paper Company and retired as a private charter flight scheduler for Fructor Aviation at the Reading Regional Airport.

His hobbies throughout his life were many but his favorites were hunting, fly fishing and metal detecting. He played baseball at Reading High School, was an avid Phillies fan and loved watching his grandson, Nate, play baseball for Fleetwood High School. In his later years, he looked forward to his metal detecting trips with his son, Todd, to Civil War battlefields in Virginia and spending time with his "Diggin In Virginia" friends.
