November 30, 1941 – March 14, 2025
Brent M. Hoover, 83, of Oley Twp., passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown.
Born in West Reading, he was an identical triplet son of the late McKinley E. and Carolyn E. (Moyer) Hoover. Brent was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Cressona Pa; and attended Technical School in Williamsport Pa. He and his brother Bryan owned and operated Cressona Trucking. Brent was a member of Cressona Lodge #222 F&AM and Rajah Shrine. He was an Eagle Scout and an assistant scoutmaster of Troop #538. Brent was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting at his cabin in Hegins and traveling to Canada, Wyoming, Colorado and the mountains in New Mexico to hunt. He was a member of the Fleetwood Social Bowling league for more than fifty years and bowled every year in the USBC Open State and National tournaments up to and including 2023. Brent volunteered at the Blue Marsh Wildlands Weekend, and also the Oley Valley Community Fair in the french fry stand.
Brent is survived by his children: Terri A. (Hoover), wife of James Fantasia, Boyertown; Keith A. Hoover, husband of Sue, Oley; Phil M. Hoover, companion of Carol Collins, Zanesville, Ohio; Tara J. (Hoover), wife of Tyler Martin, Pikeville; Dawn (Reider), wife of John Ludwig, Ft. Pierce, Fl; and Evan Hoover, husband of Jenn, Schuylkill Haven; fifteen grandchildren: Brie, Christina, Olivia, McKinley, Shane, Trent, Trista, Taya, Talea, Tessa, Tianna, Derek, Jesse, Dionna and Tyler; and five great-grandchildren: Bella, James, David, Harlow and Hallee. He is also survived by his sister: Marilyn Reedy and triplet brother: Bruce Hoover, both of Cressona. Brent was predeceased by a son: Brent A. "Butch" Hoover; triplet brother: Bryan Hoover; and sister: Madeline "Chip" Kleiner.
A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 9:30-11:00 am followed
by the Masonic Lodge service and celebration of Brent's life at 11:00 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
