Beulah M.A. Berk, 90, formerly of Tilden Twp. and Muhlenberg Twp., died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the residence of her niece with whom she resided in Carrollton, Texas. She was the wife of Allen J. Berk, who died May 18, 1998. Born in Albany Twp., she was the daughter of the late Edwin D. and Minnie (Snyder) Oldt. Beulah worked as a sewing machine operator for nineteen years for the former Burkey Underwear Company, Hamburg, retiring in 1965. She also helped her husband in his furniture store, Berk's Furniture. Beulah was a member of New Bethel Church, Albany Twp. Beulah is survived by one niece: Nancy L., wife of Glenn G. Grube, of Carrollton, Texas and with whom she resided. She was predeceased by a sister: Irene M. Savidge; and a nephew: James Berk, Jr. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
