Betty M. Strause, 100, formerly of Leesport, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of Wayne P. Strause, who died November 8, 1998.

Born at home in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Seaman) Faust. Betty was a graduate of Ontelaunee High School. She worked in the maintenance department at Kutztown University. She previously worked at Diener Knitting Mill.

Betty was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling with her husband, and gardening.

Betty is survived by her daughter: Linda A. Roshong, Leesport; granddaughter: Traci L. Heffner, wife of Brian; and two great-grandsons: Tyler M. Heffner and Logan M. Heffner. She is also survived by two brothers: Clyde and Clair Faust; and one sister: Edith Dreibelbis. Betty was predeceased by siblings: Clifford, George and Floyd Faust; Jane Greusel, Mildred Faust and Arlene Haas.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will be private in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity at the above address.
