Betty C. Dreibelbis, 87, of Edenburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. She was the wife of Earl G. Dreibelbis, who died February 14, 2004.
Born in Stony Run, Albany Twp., she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Edna M.B. (Danner) Dietrich. Betty worked as a sewing machine operator for local knitting mills. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Betty was an active member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Reading chapter. She enjoyed walking, reading the Reading Eagle, visiting relatives, helping friends, preparing holiday meals, traveling, and visiting with her children. She was a wonderful caregiver to her step-sister Hermie. Betty's grandson and great-grandsons were the apples of her eye.
Betty is survived by her children: Larry K. Hartman, and his wife Nancy, Upper Bern Twp.; Jeffrey G. Dreibelbis, Temple; and Sandra C. (Dreibelbis), wife of Keith Kline, Greenwich Twp.; one grandson: Travis Hartman, and his wife Janice; and two great-grandsons: Wesley and Colin. She was predeceased by a son: Scott L. Dreibelbis, who died May 10, 2017; a brother: Willard F. Dietrich; sister: Fern M. Troxell; two step- brothers: Norman L. Dietrich and Ralph M. Dietrich; and two step-sisters: Hermie F. Lutz and Laura Wanamaker.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg (use State Street entrance). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 Church Street, Hamburg, PA 19526.
