Obituary

Benson D. Zettlemoyer, 66, of Topton, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 in his residence.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Benjamin A. Zettlemoyer, Jr., and the late Jean E. (Boyer) Zettlemoyer. He worked as a machine operator, retiring in 2008. Benson was a member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville. He loved deer, and was an avid fan of Elvis and John Wayne. Benson loved his family, especially his granddaughters; they were something that made him push himself in the last many years.

He is survived by a son: Travis W. Zettlemoyer, husband of Halley J. (Meitzler), Macungie; a daughter: Jennifer L. Zettlemoyer, Shoemakersville; and two grandchildren: Ensley G. and Eliza J. Zettlemoyer. He is also survived by two brothers: David Zettlemoyer, husband of Pam, Lenhartsville, and James Zettlemoyer, husband of Valerie, Lenhartsville; and a sister: Sandra (Zettlemoyer) Keim, Kempton. He was predeceased by a sister: Tammy (Zettlemoyer) Kerns.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 6:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off street parking in rear). A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 in memory of Benson D. Zettlemoyer.
