Barbara L. Seidel, 83, of West Penn Twp., Schuylkill County, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in her residence. She was the wife of Ray A. Seidel, they were married April 29, 1961 and celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Born in Lyons, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Robert B., and Sarah E. (Rudolph) Hassler. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg. She graduated from Kutztown High School in 1959, and later from hairdressing school where she was the valedictorian. She worked for Rentschler's Bakery, Kutztown for 14 years baking and finishing their products. Barbara later worked for CNA Insurance, in the personal lines division, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, gardening, birds, and all animals. She was also a former choir member at church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Bruce D. Seidel, Allentown, Joel P. Seidel, husband of Dakota, Kutztown, and Eric M. Seidel, husband of Suzanne, M., Hamburg; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Danny A. Hassler, Wernersville, and Neil R. Hassler, Topton; and a sister: Sue Ellen (Hassler) Dibler, Muhlenberg Twp.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 12:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 11:30 am- 12:30 pm in the funeral home.
