Barbara R. (Shoemaker) Schnable, 88, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of her loving husband Norman B. Schnable, who passed away August 17, 2019. They celebrated forty-five wonderful years of marriage.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Pearl S. (Huey) and Albert Eagle. Barbara attended Muhlenberg High School. Upon her retirement from Western Electric, later known as Lucent Technologies, Barbara and her husband enjoyed living in Pot Nets, Millsboro, DE and spent their time fishing, crabbing and boating. One of Barbara and Norman's greatest passions together was running a TNR program called Catnippers for many years. Barbara had the warmest smile and was loved by many. She always said to try to find humor in every situation.

Barbara is survived by her daughter: Beverly E. Hosler, wife of Keith, Perry Twp.; two sons: R. Michael Beissel, companion of Sandy Romich, Bern Twp.; and Scott L. Beissel, Reading; step-son: Gregory A. Schnable, husband of Lisa, California; and step-daughter: Cynthia Schaeffer, wife of Joel, Florida; and eleven grandchildren: Daniel and Kyle Hosler, Zachary, Emily and Rachel Beissel, Justin and Nicholas Schnable, Jon, Will and Sara Lyn Schaeffer, and Jaxson Madiera. She was predeceased by her brother: James Shoemaker.
