Arthur A. "Art" Arbogast, 80, of Honey Brook Twp., formerly of Douglassville, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was the husband of Susan M. (Nester) Arbogast. They were married October 12, 1985 and celebrated 35 years of marriage. Born in Sunbury, Northumberland County, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and Charlotte J. (Clark) Arbogast. He graduated from Upper Merion High School in 1957, and later received a Bachelor of Science in Economics Degree from Albright College in 1966. Art worked as an insurance underwriter for CNA, Reading last working in 1993. He had spent time in various cities in his insurance career, such as Toronto, Hartford, CT, and Boston. Later in life, he had his own golf club making business named Aries II, Douglassville from 1993-2012. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, was a huge golf enthusiast, enjoyed oil painting, singing, and playing softball. He was a former member of the Reading Community Players. Surviving in addition to his wife Susan, is a sister: Mariann E. (Arbogast) Kauffman, wife of Barry L., Bern Twp.; a brother in law: Kermit T. Nester, husband of Faye, Fogelsville; a sister in law: Elizabeth C. (Gadonas) Arbogast, Hollidaysburg; and many loving nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by a brother: Charles F. (Fred) Arbogast. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
