Arlan L. Reppert, 89, of Keystone Villa at Fleetwood and formerly of Hamburg, died Friday, April 13, 2012 in the Reading Hospital where he was a patient for two weeks. He was the husband of B. Eleanor (Smith) Reppert. They were married on May 12, 1943 and celebrated 68 years marriage.

Born in Windsor Twp., he was the son of the late George W. and Jennie S. (Wessner) Reppert. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Arlan worked for forty-five years as a truck driver for Pennsylvania Steel Foundry and Machine Company, Hamburg, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville, where he was an Elder and member of Consistory. Arlan was a member of the Frieden's Cemetery Board and was also a sexton and caretaker of the cemetery. He was a former president and vice-president of the Hamburg Senior Citizens. Arlan was a member of the Greenwich Lenhartsville School Board; a member of the Kutztown Joint School Board; and an Institutional Representative for Boy Scouts of America.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: David L., husband of Donna (Lehman) Reppert, Bern Twp.; one daughter: Lois E. (Reppert) Abbott, Allentown; six grandchildren: Michael Shults, Andrew Shults, Karla Reppert, Kelly Piazza, Kristie Weitzel, and Kourtney Reppert; and six great-grandchildren: Jenna, Jacob, Gabriel, Kole, Rocco, and Buster. Arlan was predeceased by one brother: George Reppert; and one sister: Dorothy (Reppert) Herber.

Services will be on Wednesday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Frieden's Cemetery, Lenhartsville.
