Ardell M. (Sweigart) Kring, 84, of Centre Twp., died Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Mifflin Center, Shillington. She was the wife of Richard H. Kring, died September 13, 2015. Born in Mohnton, she was the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Edith A. (Brendle) Sweigart. She was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. She graduated from Wernersville High School in 1950. She worked in retail sales for various stores in the area. Ardell was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. She enjoyed making puzzles, playing cards, and doing word searches. Surviving are two sons: Steve R. husband of Carol J. (Stump) Kring, Mohnton; and Stewart "Butch" R. Kring, Laureldale; a daughter: Sheryl R. (Kring) wife of Wm. John Lattanze, Hyde Park. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Erica, Brandon, Kristin, and Brittiny; and 4 great-grandchildren. Ardell was predeceased by a son: Scott R. Kring, died April 15, 1972. Services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
