Anthony J. Buono, 71, of Hamburg, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 in his residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marcy (Calabro) Buono. He graduated from Reading High School in 1971. Tony was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg. He worked as a welder at ConRail, and later at Dana Corporation until retirement. He was an avid fan of all Philadelphia Sports- but especially was an Eagles fan. He enjoyed racing, going to casinos, and concerts. He was a member of The Holy Name Society at St. Mary Church.

He is survived by a son: Nicholas A. Buono, husband of Ashley M. (Rice), Tilden Twp.; a daughter: Heather M. (Buono) Waterworth, wife of John J., Dracut, MA; and three grandchildren: Hayden, Dominic, and Gio. He is also survived by a brother: Michael Buono, husband of Denise (Bair), Muhlenberg Twp.

A service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526 (off-street parking in rear). A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the funeral home. Private burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamburg.
