Anna S. Kessler, 90, of Riverview Park, Muhlenberg Twp., died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 3:13 am in Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, where she was a patient for one week. She was taken there from The Reading Hospital. Anna was the wife of Charles F. Kessler.
Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Milton W. and Hettie (Moll) Seidel. Anna was a 1938 graduate of Perry High School and a 1942 graduate of Kutztown Teacher's College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She was a teacher for 25 years for Conrad Weiser Elementary School retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter: Cheryl A. (Kessler), wife of Tom Clark, Annandale, Virginia; and three grandchildren. Anna is also survived by two brothers: George Seidel, Hamburg; and Elton Seidel, Windsor Twp.; and one sister: Rachel (Seidel), widow of Russell Zehner, Orwigsburg. She was predeceased by two brothers: Curtis and Lloyd Seidel; and one sister: Esther (Seidel) Kohler.
