Amy G. Reppert, 90, formerly of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was taken there from the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp., where she resided for three years. She was the wife of the late Irvin F. Reppert, who passed March 26, 2003.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Schaeffer) Heckman. Amy and Irvin operated Reppert's Garage for 38 years and the motel in Bethel Township. Amy enjoyed going shopping, playing bingo and going out to eat. She also enjoyed the activities at the Laurel Center. While living at home, Amy enjoyed all the cats that resided there, but her favorite was Zorro who would sleep with her and keep her company.
Amy is survived by two sons: Glenn G. Reppert, and his wife wife Marianne (Baver) Reppert, Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; and Robert L. Reppert, and his wife Helene (Brown) Reppert, Bethel Twp.; three grandsons: Rory, Bobby Lee, and Troy; three great-grandchildren: Eric, Britany, and Dylan; and one sister: Grace (Heckman), wife of Harold Adams, Kirbyville. She was predeceased by a son: David A. Reppert, who died April 1941; and one sister: Ida Reppert.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am. The family has requested that those attending the services for Amy please dress casual.
