Amela Rebecca "Becky" Levan, 95, formerly of Shoemakersville and Wyomissing, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in ManorCare, Laureldale. She was the wife of Robert H. Levan, who died August 11, 1992. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lulu (George) Adams. Becky worked as a waitress for the Hamburg Diner and other restaurants in the area. While her husband worked the family farm, she kept house for the family. Becky previously attended St. Luke's Church in Shoemakersville. She especially enjoyed her player piano. Becky is survived by one son: Donald R. Levan, Laureldale; one daughter: Lois A. (Levan), wife of Barry L. Rentschler, Shoemakersville; five grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Nora Lyons, Harleysville; and Rose Rutter, Glendale, Arizona. Becky was predeceased by a son: Roger N. Levan; and other siblins. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Burial will follow in Jacob's Cemetery, Jacksonville, Lehigh Co.
