Allen L. Hoy, 75, of Centre Twp., passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 in his residence. He was the husband of Gloria M. (Rentschler) Hoy. They were married April 9, 1966 and celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Wolfe) Hoy. He graduated from Ontelaunee Vocational School in 1961. He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. Allen worked for 28 years for Carpenter Technology, Reading as a billit grinder until his retirement. Allen enjoyed cutting hair as a barber in his free time over the years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing,and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed traveling to his cabin in Tioga County. He was a member of Strausstown Rod and Gun Club, Northkill Rod and Gun Club, Mt. Pleasant and Shartlesville Fire Companies, and was a life member of Hillside Rod and Gun Club and Arnot Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Kevin L. Hoy husband of Julie, Tilden Twp., and Keith J. Hoy husband of Karen, Wasilla, Alaska; and three grandchildren: Christina wife of Lonnie, Wyatt, and Justin. He was predeceased by a brother: Leon Hoy.

Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp.
